I have decided to start this blog so that I might have some sort of recollection of what the change between High School and College was like, as well as what the change between living in a small town and moving to a big city was like. I would also like to use this blog to recollect on photography adventures that myself and a few select friends frequently endure.

As this is the first of (hopefully) many entries, I had better let you know where I stand at the moment.

Right now the summer is coming to an end. Nordhoff High, my high school, will resume classes tomorrow, but this time I will not be returning. I will instead be traveling from my comfortable home of eighteen years (Ojai, CA) to a new and exciting place. College. A rite of passage some would say. On Friday, August 24, I will officially be living at California Baptist University. Orientation begins on August 28, and classes will begin on September 5. My roommate, Xinchi Fu (Charley) won't be joining me until the 28, four days after I move in. He's from deepest China (Actually, i just can't pronounce the name, so I'll tell you where in China he's from when I have him here to verify).

I thought I was going to be taking my car, my 1992 Cutlass Supreme Oldsmobile, with me to college but one thing just led to another, and a seemingly series of unfortunate events has prevented me from getting my license before I leave home. That being said, I'm just going to wait it out until I'm 18 in November. It's not that far away, and I assume I probably wouldn't have been doing that much driving before then even if I had had my license already.

I've been packing most of today also. I feel like I've packed too much though. Towels, dishes, printer, books, clothes, bedding, cameras, computer, toiletries, laundry supplies, decorations, etc etc etc. I guess I'll find out when I get there.

Well, I suppose that's all I feel like typing about at the moment. I'll update right before I leave, and hopefully right after I arrive.
